How do I replace my 2002 Hyundai Sonata shift lever?
I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS 2.7L. I started to unscrew the shift knob, but it won't come off and now I can't tighten it. I just spins around freely now. Any suggestions on how to tighten it or take it off. Thank you in advance!(asked by Mike on February 18, 2009)

What are the torque specs for a 2002 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 crank pully?
I am trying to find the crank position sensor on my 2002 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 and I also need to know the torque requirements for the crank pulley and harmonic balancer.(asked by Justin A on May 29, 2008)
A: The crank sensor is behind the timing cover, held in place by 2 10mm bolts. You need to remove the t-belt to access it. The torque for the crank bolt is about 120 ft-lbs. (answered by gooseman0812 on May 30, 2008)

How do I program a remote for a 2002 Hyundai Sonata?
I recently purchased a keyless entry remote for my 2002 Sonata. However, I do not know how to program it. I know dealers do it, but that's up near $75. Can anyone give me any tips? Thanks!(asked by Jon D on August 19, 2008)
A: Hyundai is not included in the list of cars that can be programmed without a hi-scan tool. No secret instructions. Only dealers have the computer needed for the operation.
I'm afraid you're going to have to go to the dealer. $75.00 seems very high though... we only charge $27.00.
If you have an aftermarket system you'll have to contact the company that built it. (answered by Ginger on August 21, 2008)
