Q:

2008 hyundai tiburon with a cracked bumper, how much will is cost to repair?

so0 this jerk-off hits my 2-day old car this morning and there is a crack on the left side of the bumper i would say about 7 inches long. anyone has an idea of how much it'll cost to fix it?
(asked by lady bug on February 11, 5634)

A: Here's the procedure:
The body mechanic will take out the old bumper, instead of repairing it.
He'll then order a new one which will cost at least $300. The new one will be placed in and painted (you'll have to pay for paint too). The cost mostly comes from the labor.
Total, I'd estimate in the high hundreds. (answered by Sam on February 11, 4613)

A: hundreds...ur gona be shocked....i had a scratch 15 inches long on the wheel lip of my subaru...225 dollars......guy/gal has to prep area..fill it,,,sand it...finish it...prime it,,,paint it...has to mix the paint....a lot of work... (answered by pedro7of9 on February 11, 6044)

Q:

Automotive question on a hyundai Tiburon ...?

My hyundai tiburon is at 60k miles. The car turns over ok, but seem to catch to start. I was told it might be the timing belt.. i have bumper to bumper warranty for 10 yrs and 100,000 miles. does that mean the dealer would cover the cost..if not anyone have an idea of what the total cost would be to repair?
(asked by Stephen63 on June 01, 2007)

A: The timing belt is a scheduled maintenance item - it is not covered under any warranty. When replacing the timing belt, I strongly recommend that the timing belt tensioner and water pump be replaced at the same time also. The service manager or mechanic will recommend the same. Parts and service at the dealer should cost $600 to $700. For the timing belt by itself, including labor, the cost at a dealer should be $300 to $400. You will get lower prices at an independent shop.

It might not be the timing belt that's causing the problem. But realize this: if the timing belt snaps, your engine will be damaged because it is an interference engine. The factory-recommended replacement interval for the timing belt is 60,000 miles. (answered by Spee on June 01, 2007)

Q:

How could i fit this on my car?

i drive a 2001 Daewoo Nubira CDX.
my rear bumper has some body damage to it. i am looking to replace it.
i was hoping to possibly replacing it with a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon rear bumper from Razzi.
now i know that Razzi Ground Effect kits are meant to be installed upon the factory body part...in this case a rear bumper.
could this piece be modified and installed upon my currect rear bumper?
or how could i possibly get this installed upon my vehicle?
(asked by lxrysprtmscl on December 18, 2007)

A: A good body shop most likely could do it. (answered by Jody D on December 21, 2007)
