Q:

Where can I find a black rear cargo/tonneau cover for my 2003 Infiniti FX35 other than the dealer?

I'm looking for a black rear cargo/tonneau cover to keep stuff out of sight in the rear of our FX35. I refuse to pay over $600 at the dealer for a $50 part! I love Infinitis but come on! I keep finding tan ones on ebay. I'm starting to think that I may get one and spray paint it black if need be. I also keep seeing statements on these listing about being genuine Infiniti Products and they are not "cheap generic" covers. I don't care if it's Infiniti or not, where can find one? Generic or OEM?


Also looking for used black roof racks. For some reason, mine was ordered without it completely. Anyone know of a totaled FX that has some parts?

Any info would be great.

Are Infiniti FX 35 brake pads supposed to be organic?

I just (2 months ago) replaced the brake pads on my 2003 Infiniti FX35, with semi-metallic pads. The car is making a screeching noise. A friend said it could be because the car may need organic pads, and the semi-metallic are grinding on the rotor. What are required for this car, organic or metallic?

A: OEM brake friction material for this vehicle is Ceramic, not Semi-Metallic so yes, the noise could be attributed to the use of the wrong friction material. (answered by Mark F on December 10, 2008)
