2011 Infiniti G25

With the addition of three G25 to the G sedan lineup, Infiniti now offers six different G sedan models: G25, G25 Journey, G 25x AWD, G37 Journey, G37x AWD, and G37 Sport, in addition to six coupe models and a pair of convertibles. The 2011 Infiniti G25 carries base prices of $31,400 (G25), $32,800 (G25 Journey) and $34,400 and EPA fuel economy estimates of 20 city/29 highway (RWD) and 19 city/27 highway (AWD). So I was a little worried when I heard about the 2011 Infiniti G25, an entry-level model with a smaller engine. I love the Infiniti G37. That's a lot of Gs. I'm going to focus on the three G25 sedan, and see if I can spot the changes.

Q:

Seatbelt warning light illuminates on 1991 Infiniti G20?

Where is the seatbelt warning sensor on a 1991 Infiniti G20? I notice my warning light and chime go off and wonder if the sensor has gone bad or is it a relay switch. It doesn't seem to do it with the passenger seat, just the driver's seat. I wonder how do you fix it besides unplugging the fuse, which I would like to avoid. Thanks for the help.
nothing is set on the passenger side seat.
forgot to mention that my Infiniti has passive restraints. Will this make a difference?

A: There are two sensors for that. One is under the seat cushion to tell the brain that there's someone in the seat. The other is in the buckle to tell the brain that it's engaged. It's usually not the sensor itself but, the wires that go to it. I'd check those for breaks first as well as the connector. It does in some cases come loose. A: Are you setting something in the passengers seat.
You could always buckle the passenger belt, even though there is no one sitting there.
Under the seat there is a switch on both front seats. You may be able to unplug them. (answered by Cooks n Cars on December 18, 2006)

Q:

1993 Infiniti G20 Battery light?

So I was on my way to work yesterday and the battery light came on, and stayed on. I've had quite a few problems with this car, especially with needing to jump start the car about 5 times in the past year, and it wouldn't turn over last week so I had to charge the battery. Naturally, I pulled over and called my dad. He said to just go to work and hope the car doesn't die.

I continued on my way(about 8 miles), and as I went little things started to go wrong. For one, my windows and sunroof would move VERY slowly, and I know that means the battery is dying. Point being, I got to work in one piece, but the infiniti wouldn't start after that, or it would start but you could tell the battery was about finished.

We bought a new battery for it today, and it starts right up, but the battery light on the dash is still on. I drove it from my work to my house(about 20 miles) and it drove fine. Is it safe to drive despite the light on the dash, or should I take it in?

A: you have a bad alternator. (answered by monkeyneck on May 19, 2008)

Q:

Does the rear defroster button on a 1996 Infiniti G20 console light when not pushed in?

I know it lights up when you push it in (as does the emergency flasher) but what I want to know is are these buttons supposed to be lit when NOT pushed in; i.e., when you are driving at night.
Already checked the dimmer, that's not the issue: all other internal lights are at max brightness.

Already read the owner's manual -- and it only says that there IS a light there -- which is right: there's a light that comes on WHEN THE BUTTON IS PUSHED. What I was asking is if the button is also lit when it ISN'T pushed, i.e., so you can see the hazard and defrost buttons at night to push them.:-) Thanks.
(asked by Don M on December 31, 2007)

A: I don't think they light up when not pushed in. Haven't in my g20 since I bought it :) It's kind of a pain when driving at night, but I've been driving the car so long I just know where the buttons are. (answered by d7freestyler on January 03, 2008)
