My radiator fans wont turn on when my engine gets hot?
my car is a 91 infiniti g20 my radiator fans will not turn on at all but when i turn my a/c on then the fans will come on can some one help me with this.
But Now I cant even turn on my a/c to get the fans to turn on because the fuses keep blowing out will someone help me please getting real tired of this car. (asked by valarinan on May 21, 2009)
A: That sounds like a bad temperature sensor.It might also have a separate relay for the fan but i'm not positive.The owners manual should have a diagram of the fuses and relays.See if there is two fan relays.If there is swap them temporarily and see if the fan starts working.If it does get a new relay and replace the bad one.If it doesn't start working it's more than likely the sensor that controls the fan.
Edit If it's blowing the fuses now you might have a fan bearing going out.That causes a heavy load on the system from trying to make the fan spin.A short in the wiring or the fan motor will blow the fuses too. (answered by Andy on May 21, 2009)
A: Car manufacturers for some stupid reason make the fans come on JUST before your car overheats.
My Camaro is the same way.

1999 infiniti g20t with 68000 miles. i paid 3,800 for it. It has leather interior, sunroof, automatic. the ac needs freon though. and the airbag light is on because it had been in an accident but minor. the radiator had to be replaced. does the airbag cost a lot to fix?
