Where can I buy A higher amp alternator for my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo?
I was just curious where could I get a upgraded alternator for my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo? Im running at 2200 watt amp 2 12inch kicker cvrs. 5 farad cap,dual audio deck. Ive tried calling local part stores and they just have the stock rated ones. My system isn't dimming the lights or anything I just know eventually I will have to upgrade. A: if price is no issue I think precision power offers them any of the major accessory company's for car audio are worth checking they are expensive beware the cheap alternators that claim over 90 amps they will give you juice only when driving but when idling you have nothing.
any alternator can work in your rodeo provided you have the room but custom brackets may need to be made.
my advice is buying an aftermarket higher quality replacement that costs at least $75 more then the basic ac delco companys like that.
I have been down this road and found it was not worth it I have 6 amps with an alternator of like 65 or 75 amps and never dim and rarely distort but I have a second battery that all of the amps are on to help when the amps need it, a cap and sensible wiring. I do have to do mmaintenancecharges 2 amps overnight from time to time but I cant afford over 500 clams an extra battery is another strain on the alt but kkeep init charged does the trick for me
I use either a large deep cycle lead acid or optima yellow top battery

A: i have a isuzu rodeo and my alt went out and it cost alot to get it replaced way to much.but you can get one from advance or any automotive place (answered by Aaron! on October 17, 2008)

A: you have to go to some 4x4 websites but for body kits i dont think you can get them for your truck (answered by prostockacura on May 14, 2008)

I let my Mechanic friend drive my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo. I was complaining about some little things, so he gave it a spin. He told my that the Isuzu's clutch was slipping. I was wondering how much it costs because he insists he does it for free. He also wouldn't completely explain what was wrong. So could anyone tell me what a slipping clutch is, and how much it'd cost to replace? (asked by ninja_mikie on July 06, 2009)
