A: What colour smoke? Blue....Not good! Black.....Probably means you have injector problems. Either way go see an expert as diesels can be difficult to work on (answered by sevenmilwsm on August 21, 2007)

How do I know if I should buy this Diesel Isuzu truck?
Okay, so I am starting a business, but I need a truck. The Isuzu I can get has 177K on it, and the dealer is asking $9,900. The GVWR is 14,500 and it's an auto diesel. The truck has no box, but I am building a specialty one anyways. Any comments, thoughts or ideas? How can I find out the actual value of this truck? What should I look for? Thanks. A: See NADA.com for value. Most small businesses own this or a similar truck. 177 K is not much on a diesel. Make sure you are licensed to drive such a truck, check state licensing requirements. I would have a mechanic check it over or obtain some type of short term warranty. If you're like me, a rod could be loose in a diesel and I wouldn't hear it. I've commonly gotten 500,000 + miles on a well-maintained diesel before an in frame rebuild. (answered by Warren on February 23, 2007)
