2000 Isuzu Rodeo dashboard, radio, ac, headlights all flickering and now car wont start; what could it be?
Hello and thanks in advance to everybody. Yesterday the battery light came on and today everything electrical was flickering and eventually stayed off; ac, radio, lights, dash--but the car continued to run although with fluctuating RPMs. I parked and shut it off. I tried to start it again and the engine made a buzzing noise and would not start. Battery is brand new; 2 months.
Fuse, ground or alternator? If it were the alternator is would have been slow to come on so my best guess is a ground or master fuse or bad connection somewhere? Any ideas? (asked by MaXX073 on May 16, 2007)
A: First thing check the ground wire on the negative battery terminal, if it reads zero ohms it ain't that, secondly check the charge on the battery no matter how old it is, if it isn't close to 13 volts it is your alternator or a relay under the hood. Check the output of your alternator and if it is putting out less than 14+ volts it probably has a bad regulator in it, if it reads 6 or 7 volts there is no doubt it is the alt. I have put more than one alternator in the same vehicle, just from experience I would guess it to be the alt though. (answered by samhillesq on May 16, 2007)
A: THE BUZZINGSOUND IS THE STARTER TRYING TO WORK, SO I WOULD SAY GROUND . IF A FUSE WENT, IT WOULD JUST STOP WORKING, NOT FLICKER AND GO OUT. TRACE YOUR BATTERY CABLES. IF NOT THAT TAKE THE BATTERY BACK TO STORE AND HAVE IT TESTED. (answered by icabear2 on May 16, 2007)

I have a 2004 Isuzu rodeo that needs a radio/cd. The old one was a 6 cd changer?
Can I replace it with the same year and make one changer instead of six. Also the steering wheel can be used to control the radio /cd. Will it still work if I go with the one cd factory radio/cd Thanks......Becky (asked by Becky H on February 11, 8655)
A: if its the factory radio then yes it should work on the steering wheel controls and you should be able to put in a normalfactory cd player (answered by cle_0109 on February 11, 8983)
