Big cat diary part 2: driving the 2012 range of Jaguar cars You wouldn't poke a real Jaguar with a sharp stick, and on first approach, with unleashing ignition keys in hand, it's very hard not to feel an instinct-level stab of pure, fear-laced excitement as the 550PS XKR-S begins to fill my view.

all wrapped up in one of the most eye-catching shapes since Adam first saw Eve, but what with the Jaguar stable currently packing more wild-styled barn-stormers than ever before, is the XK in danger of losing the limelight. These gentle polish-points, bright chromework and LED details add a dash of the ultra-modern to the E-Type-inspired, seductive shape of one of the prettiest GT cars on the planet, and what with the XL, 20-inch Takoba alloys and hefty brakes behind... s still a stunner in this Crystal Blue metallic paint, 20-inch Takoba alloys and Ivory & Slate leather interior. 2012 XK looks good to hustle in serious style down to the south of France&hellip. Q:

2002 jaguar stype ignition coil?

my 3th cylinder ignition coil went out. How much should i expect to pay? i called a jaguar mechanic and he told me that job is a big job and he gave me a ball park rate of $800 give or take a couple bucks. It seems pretty high for me since ignition coils cost about $80 so if he is trying to charge me $720 labor thats too much. does any one have any idea on whats the process of changing an ignition coil on a jaguar stype.
(asked by henry_o01 on March 21, 2007)

A: the dealer do not change one coil they change all of them also part of the intake manifold will need to be removed to access the coils (answered by lake d on March 24, 2007)

A: honestly, i would find someone else because i believe $720.00 for labor is way too damn much, i wouldnt expect to pay no more than $300.00 to $400.00 bucks. (answered by Thomas U on March 21, 2007)

Q:

2002 jaguar s type ignition coil...?

my car had the check engine light on so i checked it out and it gave me the code " po 303" which it tells me the 3th cylinder is mis fireing ignition. I called the jaguar auto shop and they are telling me its "probably" the ignition coil. from experience if it is the 3rd cylinder ignition coil how much should i pay to get it fix whats a ball park figure?? or any advice can help. thanks in advance.
like Mtech said where can i take my car and get it diagnosed??
(asked by henry_o01 on March 15, 2007)

A: I'm sure that the coil is very expensive, and a code P0303 indicates that the number three cylinder is misfiring, but it can be fuel, mechanical, ignition or computer control. I strongly recommend evaluating the problems first before throwing multiple hundred dollar parts at it. A faulty fuel injector, computer driver, ignition module, ignition coil, cracked spark plug electrode, clogged fuel injector, broken ignition wire, etc., can all cause this code. It is not a specific ignition code, it just says that all of the elements to fire the cylinder are not there. This could be fire, air/fuel, squeeze or time. With this general of a code, anybody would just be guessing, so I strongly recommend paying to have it diagnosed. It will probably be cheaper than buying parts that you don't need.
