Q:

Where can I find second hand parts for a Jaguar?

Where can I find second hand parts for a Jaguar, in particular for Jag XJS. Specifically, i am looking for front bumpers.
(asked by Niraj G on October 18, 2006)

A: Hi

Ive had Jaguars for over 20 years now. It used to be really hard finding cheap reliable parts. Now i use www.jagbits.com/

Hope it helps (answered by Malcolm M on October 18, 2006)

A: Jags are expensive cars, and it is almost impossible to find parts in your local auto salvage yards, but good luck anyway. (answered by pathfinder on October 18, 2006)

Q:

What is the lug bolt pattern on a 1991 Jaguar XJS?

I'm trying to help my roommate find a spare for his jag that he got super cheap. However, we are having a hard time finding Jag parts and I want to know what the lug pattern is, or at least know what other wheels would fit on this old car.
Help!!
I really only need to find that spare, so it doesn't have to be pretty or look like a match, just functional and safe!
I know that thing is gonna eventually have a flat, and I really don't want to have to go to the rescue.

A: jaguar xjs 1975-1993 (5x4.75/mpo/ 1/2lug-nut/73.85 bore)

this is the same rim size as a chevy car/small truck pattern, the camaro or corvette spare would be your best bet because of rim size and back spacing to clear brake assembly (answered by james p on November 27, 2007)

A: Jaguar XJS 1988-1996 20x8.5 5x120.65.
here in texas you can go to pick a part?wouldnt cost but 4 dollars to go look, and rim with tire for a set of mags for my lumina was only 40.00 (answered by crazijimsmith on November 27, 2007)

Q:

Should I buy this Jaguar XJS?

Hi. I am very temped to buy this 1990 Jaguar XJS V12 from a private seller for $3000. It is a very beautiful car and runs good. However, I am only 17, with a part time job. But as I am aware of, these cars can be very expensive to repair. However, I could deal with it being broken until I had enough money to repair it, as I have access to another car, and public transportation. Also, I am more knowledgeable about automechanics than most people, and could make minor repairs myself. So, my question is: do you think it is a good idea overall? I really love the car a lot, but I also want to be able to drive it without having to worry about it breaking all the time. Oh, and I don't want to hear any crap about me being 17 and not able to drive. I am a very responsible driver, and have tons of driving experience from living in a large city. Thank You.
It has 95K miles.

A: NO stay away from those...reliability is very bad. DO not buy a V12 until you're older than 25, your insurance will be unaffordable. Any Jaguar over 2006 are good.

Please consider a simple Japanese car which is cheap in every way, reliability, looks, handling, price, etc. (answered by vermaizcool on November 09, 2009)
