Q:

Where is the horn relay located on a 1990 jeep Cherokee 4X4?

I have a Haynes manual for the Cherokee but it makes no mention of the horn relay in the wiring schematics. I have located about 4 others but none are for the horn that I can tell. This is not my first jeep but it has been the most challenge.
(asked by Edward B on September 21, 2007)

A: Some of the Haynes books are junk. I wish they would put out one for each year ans model and engine. Searching though the book is a Royal Pain! There are many things I can't find in mine, too.

Try to follow the wire back from the horns themselves to the relay. If you can't follow the wires back , I would disconnect the horns and as someone is pushing the horn, listen for the click of the relay

GOOD luck. (answered by Dan Bueno on September 21, 2007)

Q:

How do you disable jeep cherokee 4x4 temperature sensor?

Jeep1997 keeps losing all power after driving about 30 klms (if its cold and raining it goes much further). Fuel and everything else appears ok. I want to try disabling this sensor as it is waiting to cool down before starting but is not actually overheating.
(asked by Sandy H on March 28, 2008)

A: the purpose of a coolant temp sensor is to tell the computor how warm the engine is, so that the computor either can lean or richen the fuel mixture. i dont believe that the collant temp sensor is your problem. try changing your fuel filter or have a tech check your crank sensor. most likely problems. good luck (answered by bob the mechanic on March 28, 2008)

A: You should just replace the sensor It only costs less than 20 dolllars and is very easy to change. You dont want to seize the motor if there is another problem (answered by Michael S on March 28, 2008)

Q:

What grade gas should I put in my 2001 Jeep Cherokee 4x4?

I just got it last week, has 112,800 miles. Never owned a jeep. I've filled it up with Plus. I want to keep this thing running at it's best. Also I don't know when it had the oil changed last. Someone suggested flushing that and transmission fluid. Is that overkill??
Thanks!!
(asked by revengeissweet on November 27, 2009)

A: i would definatly go ahead and change the transmission fluid, and the oil, and the rear end and front end gear oil. most people dont ever do that, and it will keep the drivetrain in tip top shape. I normally use midgrade, plus wont hurt it, try to stay away from the low grade gas as i've tore apart several motors that all they used was cheap gas and it will build up a sludge/grime on the pistons. Good luck with your jeep. (answered by on November 27, 2009)
