Going “sleek” is definitely possible, judging from the more modern-looking Jeep Grand Cherokee. The QX56 we drove last spring was chunkier than the GX 460, but then that vehicle (which we will test soon in the 2012 version) was a top pick.
The Angeles Crest Highway was a beautiful way to get from Los Angeles to Willow Springs raceway, and a great venue to display the handling prowess of the all-new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. In the tighter corners (and, later, navigating the paddock area of the big track at Willow), the Grand Cherokee felt a lot smaller than expected, thanks to a decent 37. Tossing the wheel back and forth, the Jeep responded quickly, with easy transitions and amazingly little body roll. On top of all this, the steering wheel (shared across the 2012 The scenic mountain curves tested the grip of the P295 Pirellis, and no matter how hard we pushed it, the rubber never broke loose at any corner.

A: It's called a "rear bumper step pad". I would have to say that you're gonna have to go to your local auto body shop because I looked for the part online and I could only find them for 99-01 models. Your local auto body shop though should either have them or find them with ease. (answered by Huds on December 30, 2007)

A: The bumper itself is around $80 from after market suppliers. Try ebay. Getting it painted to match you Jeep will cost more. I have a freshly painted white front bumper if that helps. Was supposed to be a rear bumper but did not notice it was wrong until after it was painted.
