Up to the point of the Grand Cherokee introduction, Jeeps were primarily known for their off-road prowess, but the market was starting to embrace SUVs as everyday road-going vehicles and Grand Cherokee created a new yardstick. The Jeep Grand Cherokee was originally meant to replace the aging Cherokee, but it was so much farther upscale and in size, that Cherokee carried on for several more years (eventually replaced by Liberty in North America). The ride is every bit as comfortable and refined as you'd expect from any Mercedesbadged vehicle (Grand Cherokee is derived from the Mercedes- Benz ML-Class) -road imperfections are glazed over as well as that new patch of pavement that just went... For 2011, Grand Cherokee ups the ante again with an even farther upmarket level of luxury, ride and utility.
I have a 2001 jeep grand cherokee. i want to get about a 2"-4" lift to it. and new tires probably 32's and new rims.

A: 3" wont clear 33"s unless you plan on hacking the fenders. Which I doubt since you are asking about the cost to have someone else install your lift. 3" will only clear 31"s. You will need a 4.5-5" lift to clear 33"s. (answered by pickupman82 on May 27, 2008)

A: pickupman and mike s both have right ideas. the person in cab is best to move steering wheel repeatedly just very little movements. The reason I decided to answer too is because a worn out or missing steering stabilizer also produces that same symptom. Some 4 wheelers remove them thinking they get better feel of the trail without them. To me the death wobble is not worth it. With a 3in lift, they are necessary if you do any road driving above 45mph. (answered by Kitryen on February 11, 9084)
