CHARLESTON, S. C. (WCIV) -- As part of a summer long Salute Our Troops fundraising campaign,  a fully-restored 1952 Willys CJ-3 Jeep, will be traveling through Charleston on Friday, August 12, stopping at area stores to help raise awareness and... The Jeep stopped in Myrtle Beach on Thursday and will next travel along the South Carolina coast, stopping in Hilton Head Island, Lexington, Spartanburg and Greenville. Funds raised in South Carolina will directly benefit the USO, the Wounded Warrior Project, and the South Carolina Military Family Care Association. in North Charleston from 2:30pm until 3:30pm and 7500 Dorchester Road from 4pm until 6pm.

Q:

I get heavy exhaust smell when driving my Jeep CJ 7. Any ideas of why?

I have a 79 Jeep CJ 7 with an inline 6. The exhaust system splits off the header for dual exhaust and the exit pipes are straight out the back about 6 inches from the outside on each side. Somehow exhaust is getting back into the cabin. Ideas why?

A: Have u chk'd the gasket at the manifolds? Cud be leaking here or somewhere else at the muffler or catalytic converter connections. Another thing is the chk that you are not dropping oil unto the exhaust system and its burns and this is what u smell inside your jeep. Do u have injectors on it? If so another norm is one is leaking and the gas is burning and u smell this, I had this problem on my 89 Cherokee until I changed the leaking ones. (answered by white on September 23, 2009)

does a jeep wrangler fit in a jeep cj 7?

I have a jeep cj project that i want to install ac in, but the engine doesnt have ac built it. i was wondering since wranglers have ac if you can put a wrangler engine into a jeep cj7.
