Q:

Whats the oldest a jeep rubicon can be and still have front and rear locked differentials?

I want to buy a jeep rubicon and dont want a brand new one but also want a jeep with front and rear lockers.
(asked by Tuff B on November 01, 2009)

A: All Rubicons have lockers. Front and rear.
03 to 06 have air lockers and 07 to current (10) have electric lockers.

But all years of Rubicon have lockers. (answered by The Legend on November 02, 2009)

A: 2003 was the first year of the Rubicon.
Came with
F+R Air lockers
NV421OR Transfercase with 4.1 Low ratio
Dana 44s front and rear(front hybrid with Dana 30 outer shafts and knuckles ect.)
4.10 gears in axles
rocker guards
16" Moab wheels
30.5" MTRs
Rubicon decals.

These were produced until 2006 and then the JK came out.

The JK included all of the above but some changes were made
16" wheels went to 17"
30.5 tires went to 31.5 BFG KM2 mus terrains
the JK is wider too.

So the earliest Rubicon you can get is from 2003. You should be able to get one for around 10K (answered by Brian on November 02, 2009)

Q:

How can I get better gas mileage out of my 05 Jeep Rubicon?

I only get a little over 10 miles per gallon out of my 05 Jeep Rubicon. What can I do to get better gas mileage?
(asked by Ashley E on February 09, 9091)

A: Jeeps arent known for great gas milege, but 10 MPG is pretty low. I got 16 MPG in my 04 stock Rubi; then after a 4.5" lift and 35" tired I got 13 MPG.

The most cost effictive upgrade would be the addition of a cold air intake, and possibly a larger throtle body. There is no real magic cure for better gas milage for the Wrangler, other then driving habits. Easy on the skinny pedle. (answered by The Legend on October 22, 2008)

A: Not much, try to drive smoothly. Jeeps don't get good mileage especially when lifted and with bigger tires. (answered by jeepsarecool on February 09, 6244)

Q:

I am trying to find which wire you hook a superlift truspeed. on a 2006 jeep rubicon?

I have a 2006 jeep rubicon, the wires coming from the transfer case are tan, black and dark pink that is in a pigtail that plugs into a wiring harness and there the wires on that are blue with purple, just blue, and yellow with pink.
(asked by mmooseytoth@sbcglobal.net on September 23, 2006)

A: I think you are looking at the wrong connector. The one that you are looking for is right at the output shaft of the trans!(rear drive shaft) it only has two wires! You are smart for using the true speed it will reset all your shift points and make your rig run a lot better!!! when I hooked mine up. I hooked it at the computer right behind the battery. It's a pain to find the right wire.... The best place to ask questions about your Rubi would be on The Rubicon Owners Forum!!!! Any and every thing you wanted to know about your JEEP
