According to a report from the Westport Fire Department, the woman’s Jeep Wrangler rolled in the accident, causing her to be ejected from the vehicle. Westport Firefighters assisted Westport EMS in packaging the patient for transport to Norwalk Hospital. A Connecticut woman was reportedly treated for a head laceration, among other possible injuries, at Norwalk Hospital after being ejected from her vehicle in a rollover accident that occurred on I-95 northbound, between exits 17 and 18, at about... A: I love mine but I wouldn't own it if I was going to use the back seat for people or kids (unless you get a new 2007 model.. which are a lot bigger). Mine is a second vehicle and it is a lot of fun. There is a lot of wind noise if you use the soft top on the highways. They are great in the snow and great for the summer with the top off.... however, you cannot get the softtop up very fast. You could do what I did and buy a regular vehicle and a used jeep for fun. I watched and found a pretty decent deal for a 1998. It has 125,000 miles but a good used one will last for two or three hundred thousand miles. They are east to replace body parts and things so if one has a busted body part you can get it cheaper and if you are handy at all you can change the body parts (fenders, bumpers, mirrors, etc.) (answered by Mrsbrat on April 17, 2007)
A: A LOT of fun. I had that jeep longer than any other vehicle I've owned. It was reliable too.
Gas mileage isn't very good <20mpg
Not much space for carrying stuff. I could carry 4 people OR 2 people and a little bit of luggage. There's not much cargo space.
The soft top got pretty beat up, and the clear "windows" will break if they get too cold. A soft top is also very easy to break in to.
Let's see, what else...you can't really hear the radio/cd very well, especially with the top down, unless you load it up with extra speakers and an amp.
Don't drive in 4WD all the time, that's bad. Only use it when you need it, and then disengage it when you are unstuck.
I wish I could have another one, but it isn't practical for me to have 2 vehicles, and the gas mileage and cargo restrictions don't work for me any more. (answered by SphincterPudding on April 16, 2007)

1988 Jeep Wrangler shuts down when key is released from start position?
I have an 88 Jeep Wrangler. When the key is turned into the start position the engine will start. As soon as the key is released into the on position the engine will shut down. Electrical power is still available. It will stay running as long as the key remains in the start position. Could this be the ignition module?
I have tried swapping the ignition on the steering column with no luck. Is there another ignition switch in the system? (asked by j_danis on March 19, 2008)
A: Turn ign to on. Check with test light for power at the ign switch terminal that feeds ignition. Sounds as if no power getting to ignition system. (answered by biff on March 19, 2008)

Will a Jeep Wrangler front seat fit into a 1997 Jeep Cherokee?
I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee with a broken driver's side front seat. I cannot find a replacement. What I do find is plenty of Jeep Wrangler replacement seats for the same year. Will the Wrangler seat fit my 1997 Jeep Cherokee? (asked by hoopsnest on June 30, 2008)
A: I doubt it. The wrangler seats are different if i remember correctly. The Cherokee is more a people person car while the wrangler is supposed to be for off roading. I think the wrangler seat is different.
If all else fails just walk into the repair dept. at the jeep Chrysler dealer and ask...
