Q:

whats the cheapest place to get insurance?

I got a 01 kia optima im 23 years old, male, and paying about 100 dollars a month for full coverage. Company: American Family. Any better deals
(asked by Fongwongdong on December 19, 2006)

A: Insurance rates are determined by "loss experience". That means, if they get alot of expensive claims, their rates are going to go up across the board. If they have a good year, rates will come down.

Because all insurance companies have good years and bad years, they all play "leap-frog" with their rates.

The whole point is to pick a good insurance company and stay with them.

You are going to have good years and bad years too. The longer you're with an insurance company, the greater the likelihood that they'll stick with you through your bad years.

Q:

My car is knocking right under the plugs!!!?

The car is a 01 Kia Optima, I also know its not the rockers they have been replaced 20000 miles ago. The noise is coming from right under the valve cover (dead middle of the engine, but coming from the top of the engine), oil pressure is good, had it check. Someone told me it could be a broken cam, but I dont know. I had one mechanic tell me he has never heard that noise before. He is the one that ruled out the rockers, and he said that he didnt think it was the piston because it would have bent the valve by now. Any ideas out there that anyone might could help me with, I would be very thankful.
I havent changed the plugs in awhile and I think i have a coil pack going out too. But it just started like 3 days ago. Hopefully it is a plug or the coil pack. But my car will not reach 8000 rpms it only goes to 6000. I will try the plugs tomorrow and let yall know if it helps or not. If it is the bearing or the cam what do you think I am looking at price wise. B/C i just want to get it running long enough to sell it or trade it in.

A: do a compression test on it that will show you some very good indicator signs as to what it could be. take all the plugs out and see if it makes nosies when you crank it over. use a long dowel and listen to where if you can the noise is coming from (answered by optionnumber8 on November 14, 2006)
