Q:

lamborghini replicas?

on the lamborghini replicas on a pontaic fiero chassis, still count on insirance as a pontiac fiero? and also, would there be any way i can find a diablo replica pretty reasonable? the ones i see are 30 and 40 thousand.. if im gone pay that much i might as well finance one and put that much down on a real one!
(asked by boredashell on December 14, 2007)

A: Yes you are correct about them being fiero chassis. Insurance is counted as a kit car which means it is very low. you should be able to find one for about 22k or 25k with a V8 put in. Check this out http://www.v8archie.com/v8Archie/home.ht m look at the kits (answered by c2953lm on December 14, 2007)

Q:

what would be the best base to use in a Lamborghini replicas?

ok so i've heard of using a pontiac fiero, and a toyota MR2. i know the pontiac needs to be stretched. Does the MR2 need to be as well?
(asked by Ricardo P on February 18, 2009)

A: It depends what Lambo you're building, but probably yes. A Diablo has a wheelbase of 104 inches, a MK1 MR2 has a 91.3" wheelbase. MR2 would be a good choice because it's already a mid-engine design, with lots of power upgrades available. For a Lambo replica, I'd recommend you use the 4agze (supercharged) engine. Or just drive the MR2, they're pretty cool cars in their own right. (answered by dirocyn on February 18, 2009)
