Q:
Would you have a Lamborghini with a Beetle's engine, or a Beetle with a Lamborghini's engine?
I'm talkin' an old beetle, like 60's vintage. 0-100 in 15 sec stuff. In good condition though. The Lamborghini is a Murciealago. 0 - 100 in 4 sec! So the performance figures would be reversed...
Well obviously you are a mechanic as the question was not a literal one and is more directed at the mentality of man and his auto... and also, I bet with enough money thrown at them either engine could fit in it's opposite. Not practical but possible.

Historical Note of possible interest
Many Kit car owners from the UK built unimpressive facsimiles of Lambo's based fully on old type air-cooled Beetles, utilising their engines and chassis, in the 1980's.
