I am looking to buy a used a 2004 Discovery. I know prior year discoveries have major problems(1995-2003) I heard that the last year models included changes to avoid problems in earlier models. Are 2004 models anymore reliable? Also, what are the most common problems that these vehicle has? I.e.- engine, sunroof, interior, etc. If I don't plan to drive it daily, is a extended warranty needed?

What size aftermarket stereo fits my 2004 Land Rover Discovery?
Is it a 1.5 DIN like the Chryslers or some other custom size? All I know is, most of the aftermarket stereos I find do not fit as they are 1 or 2 DIN. Thanks so much!

A: ALL STEREOS FIT U HAVE TO BUY THE KIT SOW U CAN INSTALL THE STEREO. ITS A PLATICS THAT HOLDS THE STERO AND THE REST OF THE EMTY SPACE IS FILLED UP

A: ive heard the gearboxes are not tough enough.the main bearing goes then the imput shaft eats into the housing before you realise.ive only heard.can get costly. (answered by hon4158 on December 24, 2007)
