A: I dunno, you could probably go with at least 22". That way, the wheel and tires will cost you thousands, and the next time you need tires, that's another grand. Cha-ching!!!

how do i remove a steering wheel from '95 Land Rover discovery with airbags?
i need to remove the steering wheel, but cant see how to do it unless i have to prise the airbag cover open, which i fear will damage the airbag?
thanks for the quick answers. I'm breaking the car so its all been disconnected anyway. I find that if i don't know how to do something; try and learn (i.e. on here) then have a go yourself. Garages will only rip you off.

A: Disconnect both battery leads for AT LEAST 10 minutes before commencing work.
At the back of the wheel, you'll find two Torx bolts, undo them and pull the airbag assembly clear, disconnecting the wiring plug as you do so.
The Torx bolts will have to be renewed to refit the unit. (answered by "isitme" on August 11, 2009)
A: I suggest you take it to a garage and let them take all the risk. If a garage breaks it they have to replace it.
I have always figured with cars that if you don't know what you're doing, don't touch, you'll only make it worse.

hello, i just purchased a land rover discovery, 1996 and i cant get it out of four wheel drive, is it always in four wheel drive or is there some way to disingage it when i dont need it? thanks for your answers

A: The 1996 Land Rover Discovery is AWD, or in other words, a full time 4- wheel drive. You should be able to shift the transfer case from 4-hi to 4-lo, or vice versa. I recommend running in 4-hi, unless you are stuck and NEED the 4-lo. Otherwise, you could cause undue stress to your vehicle (answered by KittyCat on February 11, 9434)
