Land Rover, the British utility vehicle brand known mostly for its wilderness capabilities, this fall rolls out its all-new, sporty Range Rover Evoque model. With a starting price of $43,995 (including freight) for the five-door "sedan" and $44,995 for the three-door "coupe," the Evoque moves Land Rover in a whole new direction. The Evoque's exterior is strongly reminiscent of the Isuzu Axiom urban SUV that was assembled and sold by the Japanese automaker in the United States from 2002-2004, using what was then referred to as "knife-blade" styling.
I want to buy a land rover LR2 but am worried about reliability issues?
I don't want headaches with a vehicle! And I heard some bad things about land rovers, but it's getting EXCEPTIONAL reviews on yahoo autos and edmunds.com. I'm just wondering, has anything changed w/ land rover in recent years that would increase the quality and reliability of the LR2 or are these reviews based solely on chance/luck? I'm 16 and just getting my license in florida. What car is better a mini cooper S or a land rover LR2?
Ok so in a few weeks i get my license in florida, and I'm getting a car. So i have the choice of a Mini Cooper S or a Land Rover LR2 and I don't know if i want a fast sports car or an SUV. Please help with your thoughts. :)

A: Go with the mini. They aren't super fast, and will be a good "learner" car. They are also very stylish, and are quick enough. They are designed by bmw, so you know the quality is top notch. Land Rovers are a waste of money. There are many better suvs out there. (answered by tomfoolery on May 13, 2009)

A: No do not get any Land Rover because they are full of gremlins, what i mean by that is that the vehicles have alot of electrical issues , warning lights coming on all of the time and maintenance warnings will come on frequently. This brand will stay in the shop more than on the road and will drain your wallet. I have to admit the LR has the best look in its class but it is a mechanical / electrical nightmare,take my advice run away from it and get something else like an Acura MDX .
