2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, an Autoweek Flash Drive Car Review
The Evoque will be offered as both a five-door wagon and a slightly unusual three-door that Range Rover calls a coupe. The Evoque borrows an updated platform from the Land Rover LR2, and it's about 10 inches shorter and substantially lighter than competitors such as the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3. There are multiple powertrain options for Europe, but North America... Calibrations are tweaked by Range Rover but the hardware is essentially the same in the Evoque at it is in the forthcoming Ford Edge and Explorer four-cylinders. What is it. This is the new, smaller Range Rover, developed from the LR-X concept shown at the Detroit auto show in 2008. The two essentially are the same, and we'd expect relatively few buyers to sacrifice the practical advantage of four side doors for the pizzazz of the coupe. 0-liter direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder generating 240 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque.
Q:
Check Engine light on after new tires installed on '97 land rover discovery?
I had new tires put on, and as i was driving off, the check engine light came on. any idea if the two could be related?
The tires are the same size. Its not a matter of them tampering with it, they only do tires, no other repairs.

A: i doubt it
in some cases really shady tire shops that also do light mechanical repairs will sabotage things like sensors to trigger a check engine light in the hope that you will come back and pay them to fix
a lot of tire shops that do other repairs also pay their guys a certain percentage of parts and labour so u can c why thats an issue (answered by Holdin M on September 14, 2008)
A: Were the tires the same size as the originals??

Q:
What is the tallest tire to fit a 1998 Land Rover Range Rover?
I have a dilemma. I've just purchased a 1998 Land Rover Range Rover. It currently has the stock tires and 16in rims.
I am wanting to take the rims and tires off of my Expedition and see if they fit the Rover.
The rims on the Expedition are 20x8.5 Boss 304's, the tires 275x55 R20's.
I've seen a Rover with a 265x45 tire and 20x8.5 rim, but I still have yet to find one with a larger tire.

A: Sounds like you are trying to turn that RR into a Low Pro. Definitely not my cup of tea but if you log in to either landroverforums.com or lrrforums.com and ask there, I'm sure you'll get an accurate answer fast. (answered by Jantiz on February 11, 7704)
A: you can put a new wheel with more radius but it will mess up your vehicles speedometer reading and actual speed, You might need to get it corrected i think.

Q:
Can I use higher rated tires (i.e W over H) for new tires on my Land Rover Freelander SE?
(asked by f1shy14 on February 11, 7972)
A: Yes. You can always go up in speed rating but tire experts generally agree that you should never go below the speed rating the factory recommends. Also keep in mind that you should keep at least the same load index as the original tires. Again, you can go higher ( will carry more weight ), but never below factory recommendations.
