I have a dark green '91 ls400. I need the owners manual, passenger door seatbelt height adjuster switch, a new center console cover (tan leather), a new climate control panel, and the wood cover for the rear drivers side ashtray in the door. A: online, i would try ebay. depending onyour location, i would try a pick u part or other salvage yard. another avenue would be to peruse a Hemmings, considered by many to be a sort of bible for auto enthusiasts. you can pick up a copy at your local bookstore. Q:

Will porting my subs through my rear armrest sound good?

I currently have 2 10" JL W3v3s in a sealed enclosure (hooked up to a JL 500.1 amp). I have a 2006 Lexus IS250, and I was wondering if I should get a custom box made to port the subs straight into the cabin through the rear armrest. I want to seal off the subs from the trunk so more sound will enter into the cabin. Will this sound better? What are the disadvantages? Also, should I run a more powerful amplifier to these speakers, or will the blow?
(asked by whodi76 on April 17, 2007)

A: Power wise you are fine.

Well ported boxes are generally louder than sealed so yes I would get a ported box... but what you can do is open your arm rest hole in the back seat and have the sub box aiming forward with the box all the way in the back of the truck and it will sound pretty good and loud.

Good Luck (answered by kicker_guy_l7 on April 17, 2007)

A: Usually not.
Just open up the hole you're talking about, make sure the size is equal to or larger than the total surface area of your subs. Face them to the rear, about 4-6 inches from the back.
This is about the best way.
