The left front of the Toyota was struck by the front of the Town Car. According to a report from Department of Public Safety Trooper Kent Williams, Yvonne Garrett, 39, was headed south on Highway 35 in a Lincoln Town Car. Alyson Minica, 19, was westbound on FM 1781 in a 1999 Toyota.
1999 Lincoln town car leaks water into passenger side floor board when it rains?
My 99 lincoln town car leaks into the passenger side floor board when it rains or when I wash the car. I can see the water running down behind the glove compartment into the floor board area. Any ideas? (asked by UGA DAWG on December 05, 2009)
A: Take off the cowl under the windshield wipers and check the weatherstripping on each piece for dry-rot & cuts. Under the cowl you will find a little screen (and possibly even a cabin air filter depending upon your model. I am not sure if that option was offered yet on that model). The screen will be there to trap leaves & trash from going into your A/C fresh-air intake. That screen should have a gasket under it which will help to seal the water channel from leaking into your vehicle. Check that seal as well for dry-rot & tears or cuts. Because the cowl weatherstripping is only designed to direct the water into the drain channels around the fresh-air intake. If all of these seals are intact (doubtful) then the next step would be to check the seal around the windshield itself. One cool trick to check for leaks around the windshield is to turn on your a/c in defrost mode and close up all doors & windows then spray soapy water in a spray bottle along the seals to see where bubbles may form. Good luck, finding leaks is a pain and takes time & patience. (answered by Raye on December 06, 2009)
A: Most likely the windshield seal has a bad area in it. Water will actually wick its way along the
seal until it comes in the car. A clear windshield sealer strategically placed along the seal may

A: Programming is usually 1/2 hour labor at the dealership. If you don't buy the key from them, they probably won't program it for liability reasons. Try a locksmith, they are usually cheaper, but, once again, probably won't program a key unless it is from their stock. (answered by Hillbilly Locksmith on June 23, 2009)

The climate control fan on my 1999 Lincoln Town car is fluctuating quite a bit. It will start running at full speed for a couple of seconds, then go down to nothing. It will alternate between these two extremes randomly. Is there some sort of control module I could (easily) replace? (asked by Ian on November 21, 2006)
A: You need to change the blower motor resistor. This type of resistor with auotmatic air, is electronic and sometimes acts this way. (answered by kayef57 on November 22, 2006)
