A: If you can't find them anywhere all you have to do is go to an auto shop and sometimes they sell something in a spray can that you spray on them from the inside and it blacks them out. It is also useful because you can limit the amount of blackness because you have to do it in layers.(more layers, more blackness) (answered by Kile D on June 24, 2008)

Should I put only Premium Fuel in my 2001 Lincoln LS, and how do I switch fuel octanes?
The advice in the manual says to only put Premium as far as recommendation but that others can be put in, is it going to affect performance that much by putting Medium 89 in it instead of Premium?
And I have heard that it messes with the fuel filter and performance to just suddenly switch fuel octanes. Is this true? (asked by advait0 on June 19, 2007)
A: I have a 2000 LS with 95k miles on it and I usually put the mid grade in it.....I have always done this as did the previous owner (who is a personal friend) every once in a while I will run a tank of "High" test in it but rarely. I haven't had any problems with the fuel system period. As for performance wise, it doesn't seem to be affected there either. (answered by Maria on June 19, 2007)

I have a 2001 Lincoln LS and I feel every bump in the road almost. Like manholes I can feel a bump, and lines in the road I feel it. I can actually feel which tire goes over what.
Everyone I ride with has older cars, or my family has SUVs. So I can't really tell if its messed up or not, but it does not seem right for a Lincoln LS.
I had it inspected at Firestone and they said it was in great condition mechanically, saw the guy look over it, surely they would have seen problems with shocks or suspension? Maybe you have to tell them?
What could it possibly be? Shocks, suspension, some special Lincoln system for smoother riding?
How much do shocks, struts, or possibly at worst air suspension air compressors cost to repair and/or replace? (asked by advait0 on July 01, 2007)
A: that's pretty normal for those they have a firm ride to them,most people that own them say that's the way they ride,you can replace the chocks but you,ll wind up with about the same ride as you got,its just the way they are,i own a shop,and the first time i drove one i thought it was rough,but all of them seem to ride like that,good luck hope this helps.
