[Review] Lexus CT200h

For its first attempt in the luxury hatchback segment, the CT200h is, purely aesthetically speaking, a gorgeous looking car that many have criticized for being the Mazda Axela/3’s long-lost cousin. After jumping from a Ferrari 458 Italia to a 2012 Nissan GT-R, I decided that it was time to get a bit more reasonable and decided to give Toyota’s new compact “sporty” Lexus hybrid, the CT200h, a chance to seduce me like the two previous vehicles... After all, even though it has a “hybrid” powertrain, the CT200h is marketed across the world as a “hot hatchback” for active drivers looking from something different. Ready to be as disappointed has I was with the Honda CR-Z, their so-called “sport hybrid”, I was expecting to find a car really worthy to wear the precious Lexus Badge.

You Ask We Answer

Q:

Is it easy to replace a stock 2006 Mazda 6 spoiler with it's stock spoiler?

Due to causes of nature, a tree branch fell on my car and broke my rear spoiler. If I purchase the spoilers with the right color from ebay, could this be an easy do-it-yourselfer? Or would I be better off paying out the bucks to the Auto-body paint shop?
(asked by 2Cool4U on May 30, 2007)

A: Just do it yourself.
There is no need to pay bodyshop prices for that install.
The mounting bolts and holes are all there.
All you need to do is remove the trim, loosen the bolts, and replace.
Be careful of the high mount light wiring.
Detach that from the spoiler assembly, don't cut the wire.

Good luck (answered by Nate on June 02, 2007)

A: if its a hatch there are four nuts that hold it on easy enough to change, if it is a sedan u will need to wire up the high mount stop light. (answered by chrisso_w2003 on May 31, 2007)

Q:

I need to remove my mazda 6 stock spoiler?

i have an 06 mazda 6
i want to get a new bolt on spoiler and already have one in mind. i feel like the install would be a piece of cake but my stock spoiler has a tail light in it. If i take out the bolts the spoiler is still held on by something

What is that thing
how hard is it to remove and how would i go about doing it
??
(asked by Ranck on October 06, 2009)

A: Its probably the wire for the brake light. I know nothing about cars, but all I can guess is that you can just snip it off, and insulate the ends with tape or something. If the new spoiler has a brake light, just extend the wire and then hook it up. (answered by Tom R on October 06, 2009)

Q:

Where to get a spoiler for my mazda 6?

Just got a new mazda 6, and I would like to get a rear spoiler for it. I see alot of mazda 6's with these, but don't know where to get them or who installs them?

Thanks!!!
