How many miles will a mitsubishi eclipse 2003 give me?
Ok im looking to buy a WELL maintained mitsubishi eclipse 2000-03 off of ebay. Now the carfax shows it has been well maintained and got regular oil changes and stuff, but it has 100,000 miles on it.
How long do you guys think the car will last?
I need it to last me atleast another 100,000.

A: if you take care of it and keep up the proper maintenance then it'll stick with you for a very long time..ive got an 03 gs with 152k and its still goin strong. (answered by thetruth737 on September 28, 2009)
A: If you take car of it, it will last you at least 150k more than what is on it now. Any car can, you just gotta take care of it.

How do I remove the fog lamp inserts from a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse ?
I would like to remove, re-coat (Dupli-Color Bumper Coating) and re-install the black plastic fog lamp and side vent inserts on a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I am stumped as to how to access this area of the car.

A: I know the black inserts for the side vents just pop out if ya pull on 'em. I removed them from my 2003 GS and replaced them with grillcraft inserts (www.grillcraft.com). Not sure about the fog lamps, cuz mine were removed by a friend and he put PIAA driving lights in there for me. If ya want some help, go to www.club3g.com and sign up. That site is populated by people who own the 3rd generation Eclipse, which is what you have. There are a lot of forums on there that could answer almost any question you might have concerning your car. (answered by andrew s on August 30, 2006)

someone wants to sell me a headlight from a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse for my 2003, will this work on my car or is there a difference? appreciate any help on this.

A: These headlight housings are exactly the same, one may have a black housing vs a chrome housing. The internals are exactly the same as long as the headlights are factory replacements.
If you are trying to buy aftermarket headlights (halos, Depos, etc) know that they will hook right up but you will have to do a little wiring to get the halos to light.
All 2000-2006 Eclipses have the same housings and bulbs. You'll be fine.
Another problem with that model is the headlight plugs have a tendency to overheat and melt, making one headlight seem really dim. To fix this, you can get an aftermarket headlight harness for this vehicle. (answered by on September 14, 2009)
