A: Either one you get. The paint & clear coat is going to make it harden.Ask seller some more questions, look at feedback & buy if it gets your approval. (answered by jason on July 29, 2009)
Q:
Mitsubishi Eclipse body kit fitment issues?
Hi, I bought another Eclipse project with a Blitz body kit mounted on, but for some reason, I feel as though it fits a little goofy. There are gaps where it meets the actual body, and it doesn't seem to be as flexible as stock body panels. I've tried and tried to make the body kit fit right, having friends help push as I tighten up the bolts with all my might, but it still seems off. How should properly prep this body kit? Also, the thickness of the plastic seems incredibly more than the stock panels. Should I sand this down? Any help I would greatly appreciate. And please, no comments stating I'm and idiot in the first place for buying a car with a body kit. I came here for help, not criticism. Thanks!(asked by da_dsm_dude on November 03, 2009)
A: body kits dont always fit right. the only thing i can say is use a heat gun and try molding it differently. (answered by on November 03, 2009)
A: Why don't you tell the shop where you bought it instead of telling us? (answered by Andy Pandy on November 03, 2009)Q:
mitsubishi eclipse body kit/paint?
I want to get my car painted/get a body kit for it. so my question is, when i get the body kit should I put it on first and get it painted or does the paint shop have to take it apart to paint it anyways? so pretty much, would I be wasting my time if i put the body kit on before going to get it painted? also is a body kit pretty easy to install yourself or should i have someone do it for me?(asked by the1andonly4077 on January 07, 2009)
A: Have the shop install it.
you probably missed this, when shopping for a body kit, but they almost always state to have a professional install, as things may need to be modified or adjusted for a correct fit.
No body kit is 100% direct bolt on. There's always something that needs tweaking. (answered by Vipassana on January 07, 2009)
