Deputies: Man arrested while trying to clean cash from bank robbery

A man was arrested Thursday by Richland County deputies who found him while he was trying to wash the dye off cash stolen during a bank robbery on Parklane Road, according to Richland County Sheriff's investigators. Gillespie was arrested after deputies saw her driving a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse that investigators say was involved with the bank robbery. Deputies also found cash stolen from the bank inside the car. Deputies arrested Michael Adam Schaefer and charged him for the bank robbery and two other robberies at a Waffle House and a Simba Express. Investigators located Schaefer an hour later inside a hotel room on Airport Boulevard where he was trying to clean the cash. Investigators say a series of tips lead them to Schaefer and Alexis Janee Gillespie, who has been charged with accessory after the fact.

Toyota Celica, Mercury Cougar or Mitsubishi Eclipse owners: Can you tell me about the cars?

I'm thinking about a couple different cars: Mitsubishi Eclipse, Toyota Celica and Mercury Cougar. I've test driven the Eclipse and I love the car. I'm more curious about the Cougar and Celica, can you tell me general things, like is it a smooth ride? stiff suspension? is it loud? fun to drive? etc. and anything else you think might be important, like I know a 4 cylinder is better in the Eclipse than a V6, cause the V6s have a lot more problems... just anything you can tell me or comparisons between the cars. Please and Thanks in advance =)

A: The Cougar is a V6 Mustang. Same exact car. Poor resale value and bad reliabilty. Not so fun to drive.

The Celica is a lot like the Eclipse. They feel the same, they have the same space and layout and similar shapes and power. It is more reliable and a bit more quiet and smooth.

But the Eclipse is most fun. (answered by C7S on January 26, 2009)

I'm currently searching for a used car and I'm particularly fond of the mitsubishi eclipses and the dodge stratuses(?). I would prefer something that's a little younger than, say, 2001.

A: I believe a Ford Probe is essentially similar to the Mitsubishi Eclipse. The Dodge Stratus has a twin in the Plymouth Breeze. (answered by csnubl on June 19, 3131)
