Mitsubishi Galant?
Hi all.. I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant that's showing the yellow engine light on the dash.. It also seems to have a "flat spot" sometimes when i accelerate... Other than that it's fine.. Car was serviced at the start of the year and i've changed the spark plugs. I also put some fuel line cleaner in the tank thinking it would clean the fuel lines as i thought that would stop the flat spot, but it just seems to be getting worse.. Help!!!

A: Your car may or may not be EOBD compliant.
You can try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds.
This will clear the code if non OEBD.
Otherwise you will need to get the code read.
If this puts the light out then you need to take it for a drive to see if the light comes back on.
Sometimes a code can be picked up due to a bad connection or just damp but I suspect you have a problem.

What is the best turbo charger for Mitsubishi Galant?
I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant with a 2.4 litre, 4 cylinder engine. I want to turbo charge it, and I am wondering if anyone out there has done that to a Galant before. I am looking for a website where I could find a cheap turbo kit, but at the same time one that fits my car. I went to a Mitsubishi dealership and they said they will install one, and that it will be cheaper if the turbo kit can fit in easily. So if you know of a reliable website that has turbo kits that fit a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant, please post your answer.

A: You could try http://www.dsmtalk.com you might be able to find something there. I hope you know what you are getting into, as it will take a lot to turbocharge your Galant: Reprogram the ECU, reroute exhaust system, bigger fuel injectors, etc. You will also not be able to run much boost, since non-turbo cars run a higher compression ratio. The only way you would be able to run high boost would be to completely rebuild your engine with stronger connecting rods, stronger pistons, balancing the rotating assembly, etc. You might could contact http://www.buschurracing.com to see if they might make a kit, or could offer you any more help than I can.
