Schafer, who was driving a 2001 Honda Accord, was traveling north on Nolensville Pike at 6:45 a. m. Monday when the Honda ran into a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, veered left and sideswiped a 1998 Toyota Corolla. Police said Vladimir Schafer, 19, of Ocala Drive, was fatally injured Monday morning in a three-vehicle wreck on Nolensville Pike at Wallace Road. The drivers of the Pathfinder and Corolla were not injured. It is not known if a medical event or some other factor caused Schafer to lose control of the Honda. The car traveled over a creek and struck an embankment before it came to final rest in the creek.
