Q:

How do you reset a Nissan Altima car alarm?

I have a 1999 Altima I just bought and I need to reset the alram because the original owners said the alram kept going off and I think I need it back on to use the remote to unlock the doors. I bought a new remote, but it does not work. The red LED stays on in the car all the time. It does not flash like the newer cars do. I do not know if it is suppose to flash or not. Bottom line, I just want the remote to unlock the doors. I really do not care about the alarm, unless, it has to be on to use the remote. I have the instructions for the new remote, but it will not get pass the first step and I think the alarm thing is my problem. I am sure the remote is OK. Does anyone know the answer to these questions? Thanks all!

A: E-mail me jp.hudson@sbcglobal.net I will foward instructions for remote introduction to your car. Did you know you can arm and disarm the alarm fron the drivers door lock Cyl by turning and holding the unlock (disarm) for two seconds alarm and headlights will stop flashing. Turning and holding the lock to lock also (arms) the security light and alarm. If the drivers side lock does not work you can do this from the trunk lock Cyl too. If you have an owners manual please read it after we get the remote programed. (answered by on June 09, 2007)

Q:

The buttons on Nissan Altima car stereo won't work. How to fix them?

2001 Nissan Altima GXE, it has the original plain stock cd/radio stereo. A couple of weeks ago the display stopped working, everything else worked fine. Now just a couple of days ago all the buttons on the stereo stopped working. The only buttons that work are the on/off button and the rew/FF buttons that only rewind or fast forward through the actual song on the CD. The on/off button only works if I push it in REALLY hard. The stereo will still play CDs if I put in a CD, but it can't switch the tracks that play, it can only FF through them. For some unknown reason, the only way I can change the volume is if I press the "seek down" button and the "cd" button simulteaneously with all my strength and turn the volume knob. It's funny, I know. I have no idea what's going on. I don't want to buy a new stereo. What can I do to fix this problem? It's really pissing me off.
(asked by N/A on July 29, 2007)

A: I would start by canning the Nissan. Then for your new car or truck i would buy a high end JVC cd player. I've had mine for 5 years and its been through 2 accidents, 3 trucks, my wild teen years, and plenty of mud and booze cruising.

Or you could just take it to the shop, but i like my first idea better. (answered by Wings Fan! on July 30, 2007)

Q:

What are the measurements of a 1994 Nissan Altima car bra?

I need to know if im about to order the right size, because it doesn't say if its an altima or not.
Thanks!
(asked by leeuhh_love on September 11, 4682)

A: 34 A. Seriously though, if you are ordering the bra online then make sure it lists your car. Make, model and year. If it doesn't then don't order it. If you are getting it from a local store you have a little more flexibility if they will allow returns. Keep your receipt. (answered by Shane A on September 11, 5672)
