A: I have not read the 2010 owners manual I suspect it is like the 4x4 2009 can shift into 4x4 up to 40 miles an hour. However I reccomend less speed when jumping rocks and rivers. Disengaging 4x4 may take backing up 9 or 10 feet to turn off the 4x4 light. Please read the owners manual before breaking down way back in the boonies. (answered by on October 21, 2009)

Q:

How is a free-wheel lubricated in a 4x4 Nissan frontier?

I am having a "click click noise" on the front wheels on a 4x4 frontier. I lifted the car and spinned the wheels and the click started, so I suppose it needs lubrication (grease). anybody has had this problem before? How do you lubricate a free-wheel device.

A: I guess it would depend on the model year of the Frontier. It may have a sealed hub and bearing assembly in which case you can only replace and is not serviceable. The you may want to remove the wheel and spin the rotor to see if there is anything touching the rotor. (answered by dr_layne on September 09, 2008)

I bought a Black 06 nissan frontier nismo 4x4 king cab. I was just courious what other peopls thoughts were on this truck. I was going to buy a 06 toyota tocoma trd 4x4 king cab but the nissans was 4 g's cheaper, has more horse power and torque, got really good reviews, (the only reason the tocoma got mid size truck of the year was because of the name) but anywho, whats your thoughts.

A: I love nissan. I had a 2000 and I modifies mine up and down. Best thing I ever did was a cold air snorkle and had the more test sealed. its a blast. horse power great (answered by phil on August 22, 2007)
