Fatality brings second indictment
A Randall County grand jury Wednesday indicted an Amarillo man on a second felony charge in a deadly July accident in southwest Amarillo.
The grand jury indicted Cameron Michael Meyers, 19, on a charge of manslaughter, alleging that the vehicle he was in was used as a deadly weapon. Meyers was indicted earlier this month on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
Authorities allege that Meyers was intoxicated when his 2001 Nissan Xterra drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with two cars about 4 p.m. July 19 in the 4100 block of Coulter Street.
Pedro Serrano, 29, of Odessa, died in the collision near St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Amarillo police said Meyers was southbound on Coulter when his vehicle drifted into northbound traffic and struck the back left corner of a northbound 1995 Buick LeSabre driven by a 67-year-old woman. His vehicle then collided with the left side

Q:
How to recalibrate a 2000 nissan xterra speedometer?
I have a 2000 nissan xterra and am putting bigger tires I am looking for a speedometer recalibrater cant seem to find one for the 1st generation xterra online anybody know how to recalibrate it or where i can find a reclibrater?(asked by dulze on December 21, 2008)
A: The stock speedometer reads 5 to 10% fast so recalibration may not be as much a problem as you think. There are electronic speed modifiers and the old traditional change the gear on the speed sender method. Stock Xterria does not accept larger tires with out rubbing in front while turning. So better get that 4" body lift installed or NO FEAR Pro Comp Suspension set up on there first. (answered by on December 21, 2008)

Q:
2000 Nissan Xterra maintenance question?
I have a 2000 Nissan Xterra with 110K miles, this is my primary vehicle. I would like to know what maintenance I should do other than the regular maintenance. I regularly change oil, oil filter, rotate tires, allign wheels, top all fluids, change wiper blades, check break pads, etc. Should I plan for any engine or transmission maintenance to keep it running well.(asked by Venu on January 25, 2008)
A: Change Differential/Third Member Fluid, Check CV Boots for Damage, Replace if Needed. Change Transmission Fluid & Filter. (answered by sidecar0 on January 25, 2008)
