-- Gregory Heintz, 51, of Weston struck a tree in his 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible on July 27 trying to avoid another car, Heintz told police. Heintz told police he was traveling east on Godfrey Road East at 7:22 p. m. when a black sedan with a loud muffler crossed over the middle lane going the opposite way. Heintz swerved to avoid the vehicle and struck a tree. Heintz was treated for injuries by Weston EMS, and his car was towed to Georgetown Auto. Police could not find the other vehicle. My car is a
Buick Lesabre 1968 and it has the original transmission.....and i am putting a GTO
1967 engine in there....V8 6.6L 400
would it fit....they told me it would but im not sure.....

A: The bolt pattern to attach it to the motor should be the same, but it sounds like you might have some trouble with the starter. (answered by on June 21, 2008)
