Q:
A: With a great deal of work. It would be easier to do a different swap.
Personally, I'd look for or build turbo Buick V6, which is much lighter and has more power. The Cutlass is nose heavy, and not well balanced, a V8 makes it worse.
If you insist of a V8, the 307, 350 and 403 Oldsmobile V8 are easy swaps, as are small block Chevrolet's.
The Pontiac 301 is easy, but the other Pontiac V8 are harder. (answered by Nigel M on June 20, 4100)

A: If I remember correctly, the resistor was on the firewall. But, what you say about the 'no accessory lights' tells me you have an electrical problem. And when you say, "won't crank", I have to assume that means the starter is not rotating the engine's crankshaft. And if that's the case, I'd look at the connection of wires at the starter solenoid, that is where the accessories get their power, the same lug terminal that the power from the battery comes to the solenoid and starter motor. Connections must be clean and tight! (answered by Mikel on July 26, 2009)Q:
