air conditioning not blowing out cold air for Pontiac 2004 Grand Prix GTP. What could be the problem? The compressor is working.

A: 2004 Granp prix leak in two places...even though your compressor is working it still may have a leak in the middle seal, the more common problem however with those vehicles is a leak in the lower driver side area of the condenser (the large aluminum component infront of the rad) flat rate for the condenser is about 3 hours, a good mechanic can do it in 1-1.5hours. condenser is 168$ cdn retail. message back if you want more details. A: I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and had the same problem last month. I took it to the mechanic and he drained and re-filled my air conditioner coolant. It only cost about $60. I hope this helps. (answered by Mandy R on February 11, 419)

Q:

Has anyone experienced any major problems with the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix?

I purchased a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT about a year ago with about 44,000 miles on it. I haven't had any problems out of it other than the normal items that require attention (brakes, rotors oil changes) due to wear and tear. It has about 67,000 miles on it (most are highway miles) and I am wondering what type of issues am I looking at as it approaches 70,000 miles. Other than the poor gas milage (city driving at 20mpg) this car is awesome, especially on the highway (30mpg). Another issue that I have is that the car is black and everytime I wash it the car seems to collect dust after a couple of hours.
(asked by dionj.jackson on June 19, 2007)

A: I have no idea what Billie is talking about, do you?

Anyway, Grand Prix are good cars, continually winning quality awards for a few years now. You haven't had any problems, and I would say that was typical.

BTW, black gets dirty fast. My Midnight Blue GTO is impossible to keep clean. Light colors tend to show very little dirt, which is why you see so many silver sedans in the mall parking lot!

Personally, I'd rather stand out a little bit... (answered by InjunRAIV on June 19, 2007)

A: I have continual problems with the gkwre and anadda. The dealer told me it was amdkal and they orderd the part, but never installed it correctly. My wife committed adultery with the mechanic and now it's fine. (answered by Billie H on June 19, 2007)

2004 Pontiac grand prix ABS and traction control troubles?

I have a 2004 grand prix gt. when i brake and turn at the same time i get an ABS light and atraction control light almost every time i back up and turn and sometimes when im roling forward. it shuts off when i restart my car. It pulses my brake pedel like im stopping on ice yet im on dry pavement. someone please tell me what is wrong! THANKS!!
(asked by pops on September 12, 2007)

A: This sounds like you have a faulty wheel sensor, you will either have to get a wiring diagram and find out what kind of sensor you have, and test them all with a multimeter, or take it to a shop and have it done. (answered by larmarine83 on September 12, 2007)
