Buying a car this time around was a far better experience compared to the time I bought a used 1974 Pontiac Ventura, in part because of a smartphone. I used the Carfax service, which checks a vehicle identification number against public motor vehicle records to generate a history for a car. The report shows the number of previous owners, where the car has been titled and any service records automobile dealers submitted to Carfax. 99 I bought access to five vehicle reports, realizing I might evaluate several cars before making a decision. Many dealers provide a free Carfax report, but I was in negotiations with a private seller. If I wanted to use Carfax, I had to pay.

A: Isn't the Ventura the Pontiac clone of the Nova? The Chevy Big Block will fit and probably any GM big block. (answered by Dan W on August 11, 2009)

A: both cars are built on the same platform, so equally optioned cars will probably run about the same. but since the Nova was offered with a SS package, a Nova SS will outrun a stock ventura. With a little work, the ventura could outrun a stock nova.

Just because of parts availability, I would buy a Nova over the Ventura. Chevy engines will have more support than Pontiac engines. (answered by Daniel on July 07, 2009)

A: You know you are going to need more than just the motor I hope . You will need motor complete with all brackets plus transmission . Pontiac never made a hemi only Chrysler and Ford . You will more than likely need to have front of car halved with custom frame co motor will fit . You are talking over $15,000.00 . (answered by joe.rakoczy@sbcglobal.net on July 04, 2009)
