How oftern should I change the automatic transmisson fluid in my 2002 Saab Aero?
My saab garage is constantly harassing me about this. Of course they make big bucks if I do it. So what's the recommendation from you Saab nuts. It's a 2002 Saab Aero wagon with a 5 speed auto tranny. Thanks in advance

A: the fluid in the gearbox is fully"synthetic". It has no replaceable filter. Change the fluid every 60,000 miles and you will be fine.
If you do it yourself, you will only get 4 quarts of fluid out of the transmission through the drain plug. Ideally you would have it flushed professionally using a transmission flush machine where the majority of the fluid can be replaced. The dipstick is located in front of the engine to the left of the battery and has a small yellow pull tab. (answered by GSD PAL on November 27, 2007)

A: yeah its surely a nice car i like the interior not very practical thats the only problem it may go into proper production and probably will retail for quite a bit i am not as bothered about it as i may have been if it were still actually made by saab and not GMC (answered by AIRFLOW on April 17, 2007)

Is a 2000 saab aero front passenger wheel hub assembly the same as a reg. 9-5?
Is the front right passenger hub assembly from the reg. 9-5 to the aero. I don't think it is but am having trouble finding the part listed as aero. Does anyone know of some good sites? (asked by michelle b on September 18, 2007)
A: It does not come as an assembly but the hub and the wheel bearings are the same for all 1997-2002 9-3 and 1999-2005 9-5. (answered by Simply Put on September 21, 2007)
