While the B204L turbocharged I4 is all SAAB, the underpinnings of the NG900/9-3 (1994-2002) are actually from a GM-owned Vauxhall Cavalier, but this too SAAB tweaked until nearly unrecognizable (and, I assume, much improved, as one would expect... Either way, I feel like it had enough Saab character to seem like a genuine Saab. chromal I picked up a 1996 SAAB 900 SE turbo on the cheap in 2011 and have been giving it TLC since and learning a lot about SAAB in general. Off the cuff, I can't recall is this was a product of the GM era, or one of the last Saabs that started before GM was involved. Blasds78 This is THE Saab model I miss most. I remember one specific 900 of this era that I'd see on the streets, and I just thought it looked great.
