Super sleeper Saab 900 does 174 mph in the standing mile - Autoblog

While the B204L turbocharged I4 is all SAAB, the underpinnings of the NG900/9-3 (1994-2002) are actually from a GM-owned Vauxhall Cavalier, but this too SAAB tweaked until nearly unrecognizable (and, I assume, much improved, as one would expect... Either way, I feel like it had enough Saab character to seem like a genuine Saab. chromal I picked up a 1996 SAAB 900 SE turbo on the cheap in 2011 and have been giving it TLC since and learning a lot about SAAB in general. Off the cuff, I can't recall is this was a product of the GM era, or one of the last Saabs that started before GM was involved. Blasds78 This is THE Saab model I miss most. I remember one specific 900 of this era that I'd see on the streets, and I just thought it looked great.

You Ask We Answer

Q:

Can I put aftermarket wheels on my Saab?

It's a 95 saab 9000 with 16" rims. The OEM rims are banged up. They are 4 lug pattern rims, but the lug nuts are the ones that have a stud on them. There is also a guide pin to and something sticking out on the hub that it guides onto. Does anyone know where I can order aftermarket rims that will fit that are reasonably priced?
(asked by Brian . on June 10, 2007)

A: Do what Pedro suggested - either tirerack.com or discounttire.com. I've bought from both, they're excellent and very reasonable. (answered by PMack on June 12, 2007)

A: ck tirerack ..they got it all (answered by Pedro S on June 10, 2007)

Q:

will saab wheels fit a ford transit motorhome?

they are both 5 stud would they fit please can anyone tell me
(asked by wellychez on February 07, 2007)

A: depends on the bolt pattern. theyre most likely different.

that being said, i doubt saab wheels would be rated to the kind of weight in a motorhome. (answered by Kyle M on February 07, 2007)

A: No, the studs will probably have differnt offsets (answered by drama_queen1312004 on February 07, 2007)

Q:

Why is my 06 Saab still leaving a ton of brake dust on the back wheels after 15k?

Will different pads stop this nonsense?
(asked by Joe T on August 06, 2007)

A: Type of pads are the reason. You can get non dusting pads or you can install dust guards inside the wheels to stop it. (answered by Jody D on August 06, 2007)
