A: the avanti was an extremely fast car,,right out of the show room,,the problem with Studebaker was that they were too far ahead of there time,,i don't know for sure if it was actually the fastest car in its time,,but i had an uncle who had one,,and he was afraid of it,,he never did open it up,,because it would get away from him,,they were definitely a nice car,,way far advanced for there time,,i wish that Studebaker could have made it through the hard time,,because i can just imagine what they would look like now,,hope this help,s.
