Q:

1999 Suzuki Grand vitara - does it have timing belt or chain?

I have a 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara, four wheel drive model 2 litre not the V6.

I am getting the major 200,000km service done and am wondering if it has a timing belt or a timing chain? If it's a chain I obviously don't need to replace it so the cost drops significantly.

Does anyone know?
(asked by Bel_j11 on October 21, 2009)

A: It takes a timing belt that is changed every 60K miles. (answered by on October 21, 2009)

A: Whether it has a chain or a belt does not matter. If you owner's manual says to change it at this interval, then you should do it.
Check the manual. It will tell you when to service the timing belt or chain. (answered by Jody D on October 21, 2009)

Q:

do suzuki jimmy wheels fit suzuki grand Vitaria's?

I'm looking alloy wheels for my grand vitara and would like to know if jimmy wheels would fit it.
(asked by Brian I on February 20, 2009)

A: yea, they would, however i wouldnt recommend it, jimNys are lighter in weight and differently structured, therefore the guys @ suzuki put different wheels on them as supposed to the thicker ones we find on the grand vitara, never-the-less, if your planning on making a change u should get a away from the stock parts (answered by eNVy on February 23, 2009)

do all 2006 sukuzi grand vitaras jeeps have four wheel drive?
(asked by Denis M on February 05, 2009)

A: Since I have to be the tie breaker and I know more about Suzuki's then either of the previous two....

Grand Vitara's have 4x4 as a option but it is not standard, so no, all do not have 4x4. (answered by Don W on February 05, 2009)
