Q:

What is the diffrence between the Toyota corolla s or the Toyota corolla xrs?

I have a toyota corolla s. I wana know what is the diffrence between mine and the xrs ?
(asked by Johnny.d on April 26, 2008)

A: The differences are significant. The Corolla S is basically a Corolla CE/LE with a Sport Appearance Package. Add ground effects and sportier trim to a CE or LE Corolla and you have the Corolla S. Everything mechanical ( suspension, engine, transmission, brakes, etc.) and even the wheels are the same as the CE /LE Corolla. It just looks sporty. Not to play it down because it still looks good and is extremely reliable. However, the XRS adds to the S a more powerful engine, bigger brakes with rear wheel disc brakes instead of drum brakes, a sportier suspension, bigger tires and wheels, and a few other goodies to enhance its performance and comfort. You also get a 6 speed manual on the XRS and an automatic isn't available. The S uses either an automatic or a 5 speed manual transmission like other Corollas. Your Corolla has about 130 hp; the XRS puts out 170 hp. If you have the '09 Corolla, the S is basically equipped the same as the '08 and the engine is basically the same. The XRS now uses the 4 cylinder Camry's bigger engine with 30-35 more horsepower and you can now get an automatic transmission on the XRS. (answered by Terrence B on April 27, 2008)

Q:

Can I put a Mazda6 rear spoiler on my 2009 toyota corolla XRS?

I really like the mazda6 spoiler and I was wondering would it be possible to put the spoiler on my 2009 toyota corolla XRS because I hate the spoiler on the corolla that I bought.
(asked by Alex K on June 23, 2008)

A: this depends on the type of spoiler if it is specifically made for the Mazda then no however if it is a generally type of spoiler then it might work try checking the manufacturer for information and do some measuring (answered by Kay S on June 23, 2008)

A: Although I have not compared the dimensions of the rear trunks, I seriously doubt you could do this.

The trunks would need to be identical or it would not look right.
Since these cars are not based on the same platform, the chances of them being identical are slim to none. (answered by Stupid Flanders on June 23, 2008)

Q:

How do you like the acceleration on the Toyota Corolla XRS (recent models)?

I'm thinking of getting a new Corolla XRS. I like the what it has to offer. However, I'm a little concerned about the acceleration power of the car. I've always bought cars w/ V6's in them. I like the extra power when passing on the highway or merging onto the highway. The XRS has the 2.4L engine.
(asked by CLK_2006 on May 09, 2009)

A: the current generation XRS inferior to the last generation one which was lighter. I would defiantely look for a previous generation one. (answered by Chris on May 09, 2009)
