But, bringing my waffle right up into the present day I received an email from Andy at PowerVehicles over at Ebisu in Japan with this little gem in it. So, from the outside this is a 1993 resprayed MR2 with a few scuffs and some dodge body work... Now, I have always had a bit of a perverse soft spot for the Mk II MR2,infact when I was 21 back in 2001 I tested a few of those exciting looking imports full of toys.

Q:

Toyota Mr2?

I have a 1992 mr2 toyota with 2.2 non turbo EFI engion. It quit runing. It has no fire at any plugs. We replaced the complete disturbutor and still no fire. With the disturbutor out of the engion, you can turn the disturbutor shaft by hand and it will fire, reinstall it and no fire and the disturbutor shaft is turning. It fires one time when you turn the key to off, every time. Can anyone help with this one?

A: It sounds like a wire got spliced. Check all the wires going from the ignition to the distributor. Maybe your ignition module went out. (answered by mybuttstinks2001 on May 23, 2007)

Q:

How will I register a Lamborghini Body Kit with a Toyota MR2 donor car in the Philippines?

Will it be registered as Toyota MR2 (even the body is lamborghini) or will it be registered as a Lamborghini (even the entire car is Toyota)?
(asked by Don Juan de Marco on September 16, 2009)

A: It registers according to the VIN, so it's a Toyota. Just because it looks like a Lambo doesn't make it one, right? (answered by Gabriel on September 16, 2009)
