Q:
A: No, a 3 intch lift is fine, just watch the front diff, you may have a issue with the CV joints unless you get the kit to dropp the diff. (answered by Chad F on July 23, 2008)
A: on a 3 inch spacer kit i doubt you would need to mess with the transfer case. Anything over 4 I would see it being an issue. Example The toytec 3 in lift for your truck does not require it . (answered by tarheel2nv on July 23, 2008)Q:
A: I need to know if it is a black or grey key you are trying to program, and make sure that you have a black key to program from. If you are programming a black key from a black key, do this:
1. Insert old black key into ignition. LEAVE THE IGNITION OFF THE ENTIRE TIME.
2. Pump the gas five times
3. Pump brake six times.
4. Remove old black key from ignition.
5. Put new black key in ignition.
6. Pump gas one time.
7. Let the truck sit like that until the security light quits blinking.
If it is a grey key, do exactly the same, but pump gas 4 times and brake 5 times.
If you do not have a black key to start with, you cannot program it. You cannot add a key yourself if you only have a sub (valet) key. It can be done, but the dealer has to erase all the old keys and start over. (answered by on August 11, 2009)
Q:
A: The color or size of the scratch doesn't really matter, the whole tailgate must be painted anyway. Generally speaking, it cost on average of about $250.00 to $300.00 to refinish one panel. If there are any emblems or lettering on the gate, you'll most likely have to pay for new ones. Sometimes they can be retaped or glued back on, but at most shops it takes more time than it's worth to do that. (answered by Robert B on July 22, 2007)
