I have a 1981 Toyota Trekker 4x4 and does anyone know where I can get interior parts?
The Toyota Trekker is actually the Pre-4Runner that Toyota and Winnebago made before the 1984 4Runner was put into production. I have one complete but needs exterior and interior parts. Maybe you might know where I can get 1979 thru 1983 Toyota truck parts. (asked by vmirabal@sbcglobal.net on December 24, 2006)
A: I can help you with what little parts and info are out there. I have 2 of these vehicals, and have done alot of reseach on them. As there were less than 1300 of them ever built with the Winnebago Trekker conversion, there is very little left in the way of original paperwork. The Toyota part of the truck is all regular 4 x 4 running gear, while the back end is from Winnebago. You may contact me through Yahoo if you like. I would need to know what parts you are looking to upgrade or replace to help you further.

A: Have you tried JCWhitney? they are usually pretty good. Or go to your local junk yard. there are a lot of toyota trucks out there. and if it is a 2nd gen (84-88) there will be tons of parts cause there are so many of them out there. and the parts are dirt cheap! A: I know 1that 1979 and earleir are different...You should be o.k. with 1980 to 1983..Go to www.marlincrawler.com for a good replacement bumper...I,ve seen new grills for 69.00 on ebay!!!! (answered by Johnny Rotten on August 29, 2008)
